July 26, 2016–Cottage Grove, MN…Jason Lewis, the endorsed Republican candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, issued the following statement on his latest round of endorsements from 2nd district law enforcement officials today:
“I am truly humbled to have the support from these fine public servants from the 2nd district who represent the ‘thin blue line’ between chaos and freedom. It is truly an honor,” Lewis said.
“Great statesmen and leaders, in countries where governments serve the people, have been imbued with the cardinal virtues. Aristotle describes these as courage, temperance, prudence, and justice. In all of the years that I have known Jason Lewis, he has always exemplified these qualities and that is why I support him.”
–Lieutenant Richard Iffert, St. Paul Police (Ret.)
“I am proud to endorse Jason Lewis for Minnesota’s Second District Congress seat. His belief in limited and responsible government, along with the ability to effectively communicate with others while always standing behind the women and men who put their lives on the line everyday to protect the safety and rights of others makes him the best candidate to represent Minnesota in Washington.
Jason’s knowledge and common sense will keep him from making rash decisions and out of line comments to the media, along with passing judgement long before the true facts are known–unlike some elected officials in this state and country.
My vote is for Jason Lewis!”
–Lieutenant Peter Sichko, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (Ret.)
“My name is Commander Ty Sheridan, I have worked 26 years for a metro area Sheriff’s Department, and I am supporting Jason Lewis for Congress. I have known Jason Lewis for numerous years, we have spent countless hours discussing current events and I truly believe Jason would be just what we need in Washington. Jason’s common sense approach to resolving issues would be a breath of fresh air to Washington politics.”
–Commander Ty Sheridan, Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office
