MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan released the following statement regarding Congresswoman Ilhan Omar being barred from entering Israel:
“Over the past eight months, Congresswoman Omar has been allowed to get away with continuous anti-Semitic comments, support of the BDS movement, and hateful rhetoric towards Israel. She has been allowed to remain on the House Foreign Affairs Committee despite her irresponsible words and actions regarding conflicts and countries around the world. And today, the failures to hold Omar responsible has reached the world stage as she was barred from entering Israel.
“Omar has embarrassed Minnesota and the United States through her repeated attacks on our country’s longest-standing and strongest ally in the Middle East. It is time to stop rewarding Omar for her inappropriate behavior and finally remove her from the Foreign Affairs Committee.”
