Aramis Wells wins Republican endorsement for House District 20B

A joint convention of delegates from Le Sueur, Rice, and Scott counties was held at the Tri-City United Middle School in Montgomery last night, April 11th, for the purpose of endorsing candidates for the Minnesota House and Senate.

Aramis Wells received the endorsement of those delegates after only one ballot, on which he received 76% of the vote. He will face David Bly in the general election in November.

Aramis is a lifelong resident of the Northfield area and serves as Rescue Squad Captain for the Northfield Fire Department.

After receiving the endorsement, Aramis said: “I am honored to have the support and trust of the people of District 20B to be their candidate for this House seat. My campaign is focused on being a voice for all the citizens of this district. This district encompasses both rural and suburban areas that have unique needs, that I feel are not fully being addressed by our current representation. I am running to ensure that the Legislature focuses on the needs of our neighbors, not just the needs of St. Paul.”
