(Minneapolis, Minn.,) – The Republican Party of Minnesota today demanded a response from Democrat Chairman Ken Martin and Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges regarding the physical confrontation perpetrated by Democrat protesters on attendees to the Donald Trump event at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Friday night. In a letter to the Mayor, Chairman Keith Downey demanded answers to why City officials did nothing to protect attendees from the violent protest, and he called on Democrat Chairman Ken Martin to apologize for and denounce the violent behavior of Democrat supporters. “Ken Martin needs to apologize for and denounce this disgusting display of bullying and physical confrontation” said Downey. “Democrats are free to protest, but physically accosting people is becoming all too common, and it needs to stop. This is exactly why people are supporting Donald Trump and have lost confidence in political leaders from Minneapolis to Washington DC.  And Mayor Hodges needs to provide answers for the lack of protection for the event’s attendees.” The letter to Minneapolis mayor can be read HERE The post Release: RPM Issues Statement Demanding Apology And Answers appeared first on MNGOP.
